No Doubt Drafts Paramore For Summer Tour

No Doubt has enlisted Paramore as the opening act on its first tour in five years, which will begin in May. The Sounds, Janelle Monae and Bedouin Soundclash will rotate as the third band on the bill.Dates have yet to be announced for the Live Nation-promoted tour, which will play outdoor amphitheatres and arenas in North America. The only confirmed show so far is May 3 at New Jersey's Bamboozle Festival."The whole reason for going on this tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make new music," No Doubt's Gwen Stefani says. "It feels good to be all together again."In the midst of tour prep, No Doubt has been working on and off on a new studio album, a release date for which has not been announced.Paramore will be making a final push behind its breakthrough 2007 Fueled by Ramen/Atlantic album, "Riot!," which has sold 1.13 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
